Mother's Group 30th Anniversary

This group of wonderful women (and men) have been together for 30 years. We met at a class for first time mothers given at Albany Adult School. When we first started out we met weekly for play group. When our second children went to kindergarten, we decided to meet monthly for mother's dinner. We have eaten a lot of wonderful dinners together. Through the years, we have had Christmas parties, Halloween parties, swim parties etc. So, for our 30th we had a pot luck dinner at my house, followed by firework at the Richmond Marina viewed from Don's boat. We had dessert on the boat. Check out the picture below of Georgia and Tommy by the English Triffle. Yum!

What an amazing group of people. I so appreciate them. We really are family. We raised our kids together and sought advise from each other throughout the years. Now, as empty nesters, we continue to enjoy each other. We would live in a much more stable world if everyone had the positive attitudes and commitment that this group has. I appreciate everyone of you. I think we are shooting for another 30 years.

What an amazing group of friends! So thankful you all have each other - raising kids is hard work and it helps to have like-minded friends on board for the adventure :)

The fireworks look beautiful, too!
