Happy Birthday Don

Happy 58th Birthday to a wonderful husband, father, fisherman, biker, businessman, and rafter.

This is DB at the beach North of SF on his birthday Happy 58th Birthday. Laurel and I went hiking with him out to the ocean on the Tennesse Valley Trail.

This is DB the meteorolgist in his business attire.
Here is DB doing a century bike ride with other buff members of the family (that would be Laurel, Erica and Andy).

Here is DB leading our fearless rafting group down the mighty Green River this summer.

Here is DB at his best. He is a fishman of fishermen. He loves to fish.

Christmas 2007

Here are some of the picture highlights of our Christmas.

Dec 16
Mother's Group - Here was our traditional mother’s group Christmas party. We were missing 4 people because of illness. We had a wonderful Filet Mignon feast and talked about up coming weddings, grandchildren and old age. Isn’t that just about the typical discussion for our age group? We’ve been having Christmas gatherings for over 25 years.

Dec 23rd (My birthday)
Kevin, Katie, Steven, Ron, Pam, David and Gregory came by for a visit. The Grandmas came too! Chris, Jess, Maryn and Lucy were staying with us.

Men and Women caring for babies. It's just different!

Here is a sample of the Ballanti Boys taking care of Lucy. I’m not sure about this!
Here is a sample of Pam taking care of Lucy. Good job Pam!

Here is a sample of Katie taking care of Lucy. Good job Katie!

Here is Grandpa teaching Lucy the intricacies of using a marshmallow gun. I’m not sure about this!
Steven tried to walk
We really tried hard to get Steven to take his first steps. He didn’t quite do it.

Dec 23rd Gathering at Smylie's House

Later that evening we went to Buca de Beppo for an Italian feast. It’s not bad having birthday’s right near Christmas. There are lots of people to celebrate with you.

Dec 24th
Here was our walk to the park on Christmas Eve. It was over 70 degrees and beautiful out. We fed the ducks at Miles Square Park. We didn’t see the “Do not feed the ducks” sign.

Maryn loves to be outside!

Dec 25th

Christmas morning
Can you believe that both kids were happy? Well, check out the piece of chocolate in Maryn’s hand. It pays to bribe for great smiles.

Harvest Moon Cruise

This was our Harvest Moon Cruise on our boat. It was a gorgeous night on San Francisco Bay. See that moon in the distance. Thanks to Ron we had lobster appetizers.
