Maryn Lucy & Jess visit El Cerrito

Here are a few of the many things we did with Maryn and Lucy during their week visit. This truly does not show how many dance parties we had. That is probably one of their favorite things to do. But, we sure did stay busy.
JELLY BELLY FACTORY
The girls love going to the jelly belly factory. Actually, they love eating the jelly bellies even more than the tour.
MAKING EASTER EGGS
We used tissue paper to decorate empty eggs.

A TRIP TO GRANDPA'S BOAT
A visit wouldn't be complete without a visit to grandpa's boat. He didn't catch any interesting fish, but a few crab we in his traps. Then we had just a small dance party. That is another tradition.

LAWRENCE HALL OF SCIENCE
We picked a perfect day to visit Lawrence Hall of Science. Laurel could go with us and the weather a picture perfect. The girls got to do lot of running and exploring.

TREASURE HUNT
Another tradition is to have a treasure hunt. The girls waited until Laurel came over so she could do the reading of the clues for them.

BLUE LIPS
After the girls opened the things in their treasure hunt boxes, Laurel taught them how to make blue lips. That was a hit!
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Of course, we made hot chocolate chip cookies (a few times). That was always a big hit
MOSAIC STUDIO
Here are the girls in Grandma's mosaic studio. They had fun creating their own works of art.

GRANDPA READING
I love this picture of DB reading to Lucy in his office. It is a sweet quiet moment.
Here is Maryn with her freshly painted nails.
SPECIAL INDIAN CLOTHES
Laurel brough Maryn and Lucy traditional Indian dresses from her recent trip to India. The girls just loved them and performed lavash dancing for us in them. It was really fun and they are treasures.

OUTDOOR PLAY
The outdoor play never stopped. It seemed cold to me, but for two little girls from Portland, it didn't phase them. They did a lot of painting with water and twirling. Fun, fun, fun!

A VISIT FROM PAULA
My friend Paula came for a visit and as you can see we had fun and were very silly.
FAIRYLAND
Here we are at Fairyland. We had so much fun. And of course the girls said that it is traditional to go to Fenton's Ice Cream Parlor afterwards. So, it was a specail day for all of us.

What a fun, full week! I loved every minute of it, and I know the girls did too.
