Lucy is just 5 months old and we just found out on Thursday that she needs open heart surgery. All the details are on Jess's blog at www.thegooseandthebear.blogspot.com . Check out that blog for details. Jess will continue to update everyone. Please pray that everything goes smoothly. Surgery is at Noon today and it could take 6 hours. Here are a couple of pictures taken of Lucy yesterday.
What a doll! May God guide the surgeons hands on Lucy's tiny heart. Amen

It's Sturgeon Time
Mark catches a 65 inch Sturgeon
Don went fishing today with his friend Mark and Doug. Don hasn't caught a sturgeon for about 10 years. It's not easy to do. He was thrilled (in fact they all were) to have a sturgeon caught on his boat. They estimated the weight to be around 80 lbs. We had some for dinner. It is a wonderful fish to eat. You just marinade it and grill it. It's very dense, so it takes a while to cook.
Doug took these great pictures. Thank goodness he was on the trip or there would not have been any pictures. Nice job Mark!

Asilomar with the ladies
I went to the 24th Annual Women's retreat for First Presbyterian Church Berkeley. The theme was Enjoying the Presence of God. We had a great time and looking at the pictures, you can see that we all really did enjoy the presence of God in our hearts and in our surroundings. What a beautiful place. Asilomar is in Pacific Grove (near Monterey).
We stopped to enjoy the beach. I just keep thinking "How can I built a house with this view (and not spend millions of dollars)?"
This is a picture of Fran, Kathy, Jeanie, Marianna and Me. We are watching the sunset at Spanish Bay while the bagpipper plays music as he strolls on the hills of golf course. I love this special time. Oh, and did I mention that these ladies are great Christian companions.
